I think it’s important with 2014 on the way out and 2015 quickly approaching to address the infamous ‘New Year’s Resolution’ issue.
Here’s my input…..why wait?
If the things you are doing to yourself are not good for your body, your mind or your spirit why would you waste one second more of your life doing them?
Don’t wait for that clock to strike midnight December 31st to look for permission to start treating yourself with respect. Do it now, this very second. Pick something that you want to change no matter how big or how small, how easy or how difficult and CHANGE IT! Then, when you know you have successfully altered that behavior or that situation, change something else. It’s addictive I promise you!
Don’t stagnate and keep setting dates to start allowing health, positivity and energy to come into your life.
When I made my change, I did not do it because of an outside catalyst like an event, new clothing or another person. I simply said “SCREW IT! I refuse to live my life anymore in a way that is toxic and self-destructive. In that moment I loved myself enough, loved life enough to make it work.
Get up, go out and stop living your life in a way that is only leading to a slow, unhealthy demise. Embrace the gift that we have all been given in being here with each other. There is nothing stopping you aside from fear of the unknown but I swear nothing on the other side of that leap of faith is worse than the long-term damage you are doing to yourself right now. Don’t hesitate – just trust the process.
Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing I hope you’re kicking your ‘New Year’s Resolution” to the curb and loving yourself RIGHT NOW!
“Now is the operative word. Everything you put in your way is just a method of putting off the hour when you could actually be doing your dream. You don’t need endless time and perfect conditions. Do it now. Do it today. Do it for twenty minutes and watch your heart start beating.” ~ Barbara Sher
